Every day I opened the door
Until, one day I could take no more
Rust and decay are it’s décor
This place I really must restore

The ‘Studio’ I do lament
That vile shelving, grey and bent
Sitting on cracked cement
All adding to my discontent

A Tip! A Tip!
My kingdom for a skip
With brush and pan I must equip
As I begrudgingly submit

Creams and plaster are galore
As I bang and crash and drag and saw
A howl of pain as blood they draw
To create a space I can adore

Finally the brickwork’s seen
Tiles, panels, joists and beams
The sockets are released and clean
A welcome boost for self esteem

From chaos to reality
And at last I’m feeling free
To fill with creativity
The perfect place for pottery
